   Request Case Study

Site Location: Northern Wisconsin
Contamination: TCE soil levels as high as 140,000 ug/kg
Geology: Site geology consists of mostly clay from 0-15 feet bgs underlain by a mostly sand unit from 15-30 feet bgs. Depth to water is approximately 25-30 feet bgs.
Area Treated: ~13,500 sq ft area from 0-15 ft bgs within the upper clay unit and ~11,700 sq ft area from 15-30 ft bgs within the lower sand unit.
Effectiveness:  Post-treatment verification sampling data confirmed that 36 of 37 samples collected were below the remediation target goal of 1.5 mg/kg.

   Request Case Study

Site Location: Central New Jersey
Contamination: 1,1,1-TCA, 1,2-DCB, PCE, TCE, Ethylbenzene & Total Xylenes. Total VOCs as high as 32,407 mg/kg.
Geology: Site geology consists of mostly silts with layers of fine to coarse sands. Depth to water is approximately 13-15 feet bgs. GW flow is to the southwest.
Area Treated: ~480 sq. ft area from 17-25 ft bgs within the saturated zone (142 cubic yards).
Effectiveness:  Post-treatment samples are scheduled to be collected by the client in the next few months.

   Request Case Study

Site Location: Western Massachusetts
Contamination: PCE, TCE, cis-1,2-DCE and VC. PCE concentrations as high as 53,000 ug/l.
Geology: Site geology consists of very fine sand with intervals of silt. Depth to water is approximately 9-11 feet bgs. GW flow is from west to east.
Area Treated: ~800 sq. ft area from 10-20 ft bgs within the saturated zone (296 cubic yards).
Effectiveness:  Post-treatment samples collected from the 3 temporary wells showed concentrations ranging from 2,900-3,600 ug/l which were all below the performance criteria of 15,000 ug/l set forth for the site. No further remediation work is planned for the site.
